Letter to the Editor: Missing Examples

To the editor:

The last week’s issue of McLean Connection has a cover photo of John Foust, with the title "Bridging Political Divide." But when I read the article, there is not a single example of his actually doing so. Instead there are endorsement quotes from three people, not one of whom is a Republican; the story again fails to show any "bridging" of political divides. I have lived in McLean for more than 20 years, and know of no instance when Mr. Foust has ever sought to "bridge" partisan divides. I am at a loss why your cover story simply repeated his self-serving campaign claim, particularly when his policy positions indicate that if he were elected to Congress he would be a far-left Democrat and a Nancy Pelosi ally.
