Joe Broom, from McLean, was named a 2015 Presidential Scholar in the Arts for his musical accomplishments. In June, he along with other selected scholars will perform at the Kennedy Center.

Each year, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes 170 students selected from around the Country for their accomplishments in academics and in the arts.
