State Champions McLean High School Win Final Home Meet

Seniors Samantha Simon, Jennie Korb, Carolyn Brown-Kaiser, Anna Brower, and Lola Amaya were each given a team photograph with messages from all their teammates before the meet to celebrate Senior Night.

The reigning gymnastics State Champions, McLean High School, took on Battlefield High School, Fairfax High School, Chantilly High School, Herndon High School and Wakefield High School on Thursday night. The meet marked the final regular season home meet for the Highlanders, and also Senior Night. Led by all-around champion Samantha Simon, McLean placed first with a total score of 143.350. Senior Carolyn Brown-Kaiser, who is currently out recovering from a torn achilles, describes her team as a group of extremely driven girls. She said, "I have absolute faith for them to do as well as they can, and as well as last year, if not better."
