Leadership Fairfax’s Lifetime Leaders Program Begins in September

Leadership Fairfax is now accepting applications for their Lifetime Leaders Program (LLP) that begins in September 2019. The Lifetime Leaders Program is designed for retiring or newly retired individuals who seek to share their wealth of experience and leadership in a significant capacity within their communities. The program convenes in a variety of venues in Fairfax County for a total of six sessions from September to December 2019. Tuition is $500 and covers all course materials, lunch and a complimentary invitation to the annual Leadership Fairfax alumni reception. Applicants can apply at leadershipfairfax.org.

As a cohort, participants in LLP will explore the concept of Lifetime Leadership, build a personal network of community-minded colleagues and understand the nature of government and community collaborations. Leadership Fairfax faculty and leadership coaches help participants develop a vision for the next chapter in their lives. They identify the skills and experiences that are most meaningful to each person, while looking outward to the Fairfax County community for opportunities for civic awareness, community engagement, and volunteer connections.

“LLP provided me with direct exposure to key contacts and broadened my knowledge of ways to think about and use my time and talents in the Fairfax County community. Actively engaging with other retired leaders expanded my thinking, and continues to enrich my decisions,” said graduate Janice Sutera Wolfe.

Program Class Dates: Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019; Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019; Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019; Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019; Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019; Government Day; Wednesday, Dec. 4.
