Mara Hair and Mode Studio is closing out Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a community fundraiser that brings together local business, music, and good vibes for a great cause.
It all starts Thursday, October 30 from 6–8 PM at High Side Restaurant & Bar (right next door to the salon) for a Pink Wave Happy Hour and Auction, raising funds for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.
One highlight of the evening is the Dolly Parton Auction at 7 p.m. Participants can bid on a rare, autographed Jolene gold record album from Dolly Parton.
Organizers will also be raffling baskets with over a dozen prizes donated by Fairfax businesses including Mode on Main by Mara Boutique, Lucy Loves, Ace Hardware, eXcurb Fitness, Redwood K-Wellness, Commonwealth Brewing, and many more.
A portion of all drink sales from the event will go to the cause. Each $10 ticket includes 1 drink, with High Side donating a portion for breast cancer awareness.
For the past seven years, Mara Hair and Mode Studio has partnered with the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation through its annual Pink Wave Campaign, raising thousands for Virginians affected by breast cancer. In 2024, the salon raised $7,577.99. This year’s goal is $8,000, and every dollar raised brings the community closer to supporting more patients and families in need.
